John Deacon

So at the end of Part 2 They give the obligatory "Queen is still as big as ever" line, and show some live footage of the two remaining active members with the replacement members.

I know John Deacon has stepped back, and very far back from Queen what I can gather only appearing for 2 or 3 performances after Freddy Mercury's death - but at the end they just said "John's off on his own thing now". It would be a bit nice to explain a little more about that member of the group. I can't remember if he was in the interviews, only the absence of closure regarding his path past 1991.

I am assuming they do it out of respect for him as he is absolutely retired, but you cannot ever escape the legacy you have created - and I for one am very interested in where he is now and disappointed they chose to exclude this even if it was at his wish. He did not attend the induction ceremony into the rock and roll hall of fame and even that was not discussed. Oh well, he found the right group of guys who apparently regard him with a very high level of respect, very refreshing.

It seems John Deacon has very little to do with other remaining band members as well. May seems to have indicated that they keep in touch with social media with little or no face to face meetings.

You can at least say Deacon has apparently let the May and Taylor carry on with The Queen name. Other bands would have gone to costly litigation over such a matter.

Its that man again!!

Deacon want's nothing to do with media or fame, he retired after Freddie's death, (appearing on a single and at the memorial concert), and since then hasn't wished to take part in any public appearance.

He still has veto power in anything the band wants to, they need his signature to release material, or to do something like the We will Rock You musical, so they're right in saying they have his blessing.

He doesn't give interviews, doesn't perform and doesn't do public appearances, he has no want or need to, he simply wants a quiet life which he's managed to get.

To intrude upon these wishes would be very disrespectful, he doesn't have any obligation whatsoever to perform in front of fans.
