Way too soapy...

There has been abundance of good movies about or around Vietnam War, where this one totally failed. With lousy script you can't make good movie. Vietnam war was pretentiously used as phony wallpaper for typical soap TV story, shallowly by default. Otherwise nice cast would definitely do better if director would give it a try.

I thought it started off pretty bad but improved enough that I didn't have to turn it off. I agree with you though. The scene where Joiner poses as MP is painfully bad. Then they just casually stroll to the car, joking around like nothing happened.

i would pretty much agree with that.

but overall it was still a below average movie (i.e. 5/10) if you ask me as the only reason i even gave it a chance in the first place is because Teresa Palmer is in it and she's the most attractive actress under the age of 30. this is the worst movie she's been in of the 8 i have seen of her's as i like 5 out of the 8 movies i have seen her in now. but her best movies she's been in are... Warm Bodies and Restraint (i gave both of these a 7/10).
