Director obviously confused.

When Victor talks of 'The Modern Prometheus' in this film, for some reason he is talking about the monster, which shows a total lack of understanding. In Shelley's title she is comparing Frankenstein with the man who had the audacity to steal fire from the gods.
This, coupled with a script littered with american English, spoiled what I thought was otherwise an enjoyable enough film. Bad research and bad writing. Lazy.

Absolutely agree - although the fault is with Max Landis, the screenwriter, rather than the director per se. But it's incredible that this got all the way through development and production without a single person going, "Hey, you know that's not what 'The Modern Prometheus' actually means, right?"
