Spitting while Screaming - scenes

Im under the impression that this "style" of screaming during a scene - you know, looking a bit lunatic and drooling and spitting while screaming - was started by Al Pacino on the 90's? Perhaps in Scent of a Woman. And before that, from the "father" at the beginning of the "We're not Gonna Take It" by Twister Sister. (at minute 2 to be precise: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V9AbeALNVkk )

Anybody recalls that style from a previous movie or decade? Because of the thousands of movies I've seen from every decade, I only recall seen that done in movies from the past 15-20 years or so...
