Airline attendants (stewardesses) uniforms

The fictional Vista Pacific airline stewardesses uniforms were very stylish and well-tailored and yes, very sexy, and very unrealistic because no U.S. airline would allow short skirts and the female stewardesses would not want to wear those. I'm not complaining. I wish they did. And stewardesses once did wear short skirts, even shorter, back in the late 1960s and into the very early 70s. Check out Google. But things change. The stewardesses took the airlines to court for job discrimination because previously only young women could work on the jetliners. Once you got older, got married, put on weight, whatever, you were out of a job. The courts ruled in the stewardesses' favor. So by the 1990s you saw mostly middle aged and sometimes middle-middle-aged stewardesses on the jetliners. I'm not complaining. Job security is job security. Yet I contemplated, stewardess pay is low, you're on the road a lot, so why would any woman want to spend over a decade working on an airliner?
