I am surprised

I really don't get why people are slating this so much. They say it is unfunny and predictable, and while I do agree on the latter point this comedy far exceeds the other sh*te that barely surpasses as "comedy" these days.

Some may say that David Jason is too old for this, I disagree. That is entirely the point; Guy Hubble is a clumsy old duffer and I think Jason was perfect for the role. (Additionally, Jason agreed to the role because the script "made him laugh").

C'mon, how can you not laugh at the queen being dragged along in a runaway carriage? What happened to sense of humour!?

I think Jason is not right for the part and somehow the setting is too old fashioned yet Mrs Brown's Boys which comes after works!

Its that man again!!

I suppose opinions differ. I don't think Mrs Brown's Boys is funny at all and in fact find it cringeworthy XD

Have to agree with Moosey.

Last week's episode of TRB was actually pretty rewarding for anyone who's stuck with it. If it had been the first episode, I don't think this would be getting the hate it has.

I think what it is is that people resent it for not being more like the old comedies. Or perhaps perceptions of what people think is funny or not has changed.

All the good stuff has been used up and so the main complaints are that the jokes have been done before to the extent the comedy is predictable and boring according to some people. Therefore they prefer comedies that are bizarre, shocking, or relies the "f" word too much to be funny. And I don't mean "feck".
