This movie was the textbook example of a "stupid person's idea of genius art". It was all style and no substance. It pretty much employed every cliched tactic of faux-art films I can think of. Surrealism for the sake of surrealism, misplaced symbols, colorful motion sequences, awkward silence, stilted dialogue that was aching to be impactful, etc etc. The film was perfectly watchable, but it's not good. The only good thing about it was the beautiful cinematography. 6/10

So you are calling anyone who loved this movie stupid? Your opinion is completely void now. It means less than nothing when you can't take other people's taste into consideration. Only your own. This movie IS ART. Haha sorry you couldn't embrace or enjoy it. You missed out on an awesome experience!

To the other guy, good thing you weren't born on the Era of silent films... you may have had to use your brain and imagination to fill in the blanks. If you want a movie with constant dialogue, go watch something by Tarantino. That's not an insult, it's just his films have A LOT OF dialogue.

A movie's merit should never be based on how much/little talking there is. That's just ridiculous. But when I was a kid I thought the same way so who knows.

Haha. Anyways, go watch a Tarantino? You mean like, Pulp Fiction? Which won the Palme d'Or at Cannes? While Neon Demon was walked out of at Cannes? Okay.

That's exactly the point he was trying to get across by creating this movie. The current world we live is about things looking stunning and beautiful with no attention being paid to what's on the inside.
