Can anyone explain this movie to me?

If you can't, I don't think you understand this movie either.😏

The corruption of beauty and innocence. Neither can survive for ever in the dark modeling world portrayed. The girls want to destroy something they'll never have and hope to harness the essence of the beautiful virgin sacrifice. While eliminating some competition. It's implied the two models succeed while one couldn't handle the guilt. The makeup artist seems to do this type of thing on the regular and might be much older than she seems.

When I'm the hotel she heard someone getting attacked in the next room. Was that 100% the owner doing that? Was her dream before it some sort of premonition? Or was it the girls trying to get her to come to the house. That scene confused me a bit.

Honestly, both interpretations may be correct.

The owner doing it is plausible. He was clearly attracted to young girls/teens when he describes the 13-year-old runaway ("real Lolita *beep* or something) to Jessie's boyfriend. We know Jessie felt intimidated by him because she ran up the stairs from him when they went to her room, and he was quick to accuse her of being drugged instead of trying to help her. The dream could've been a premonition or just a nightmare because Jessie was clearly going to great lengths to avoid him.

It could have been Gigi and Sarah too, since they seemed to have done things like this before (preying - literally - on young models). Since Ruby had already given Jessie her phone number and was the friendliest person in town towards her, it's reasonable to assume Jessie would call her first. It's also possible Gigi and Sarah saw Jessie breaking up with Dean and knew she wouldn't go to him.

There's definitely evidence for both of these situations, and, considering Ruby's later actions, it's not far-fetched to believe she'd do something to hurry the situation along.

What do you want explained? The general outline of The Neon Demon isn't that hard to understand?
