Holy god dam hell.

Please dont tell me im the only one connecting this movies obvious metaphorical references to satanism and the pizzagate child eating conspiracy!!??!

First let me say - This film shocked me deeply because i have worked for Alexander Macqueen and actually photographed all the vogue models preparing for their final outfits in London and in Paris. So i know the physical strain the models go through whilst competing for the catwalk. I have literally had to help models from buckling under their own feet with the stress of the boots they are walking in. This movie for me portrayed this magnificently well - and how girls and boys are both manipulated into this materialistic way of life.

The movie is directed and paced as if Kubric had risen from the grave and guided Nicolas Winding Refn's hand whilst he was crafting this explicitly dark and twisted yet beautifully metaphoric masterpiece. There really are no rules to crafting a film - and Nicolas Winding Refn is not afraid to break all boundaries here.

The strangest thing about this movie, is that it has stuck with me for weeks afterwards, and when i learn more about political scandals and pedophile rings all connected to these VIP people in our current governments - i have flash backs to this film and the references it was trying to make - but i completely missed!

So lets go:

Underage girl enters a neon world - Links to pedophilia already. Parents are both dead, so the agency signs for her as parents claiming she is older than she actually is. Already she has been seduced and illegally adopted. You are told through imagery and expressions only - that for some reason the producers of these shows want this girl in particular because she is underage and has that kind of "innocence"; whereas all the other accomplished models have had so much plastic surgery that you dont really know what they really look like - they are just fake emotionless demons.

Throughout the movie we are subject to what ive read on these forums as "too much art" lol? I mean come on.. seriously? If you do some research you will see all the hidden symbology in connection to pedophilia and secret underground rings - ie: the codes these *beep* up weirdoes use to communicate with other freaks like themselves. Hes throwing it all in your face - but if youre not actually looking - you will just see straight through the whole movie like a thin piece of empty glass.

The symbology behind the scene where our main protagonist gets eaten by the other models and they all bath in her blood in an EMPTY SWIMMING POOL..!?!? Are you kidding me!? Just do one search on pizzagate and go look at podesta's paintings on his walls with children lying down in empty swimming pools and tell me there is no connection!?

Nicolas Winding Refn is saying that there is something really *beep* up going on with hidden underground pedophile rings, and this *beep* goes real high up and even deep than just pedophilia. If you really look into it - they are saying that newborn fetus when eaten - these satanists actually believe that it will extend their lives in some satanic ritual of witchcraft1?!?!?!

Please tell me someone else made these connections, id really love to hear some of your thoughts :-)

You're right as someone who has been researching satanic symbolism in the entertainment industry this movie is very disturbing. It's got so much the pyramids on the mirrors. It's even directed so that the viewer is often given the perspective of a mirror. If you're not familiar look up as above so below. Then it goes so much deeper blood sacrifice and the idea of demons destroying beauty and innocence. If you watch it from the open minded perspective of possibilities it's laying out a pretty clear story. Everything is set up as it could happen like you said innocent kids with no connections so no one will miss them. The idea of only being useful if you're selfishly used. It makes me sad how many innocent could be in too deep just by chasing their dreams they end up in a trap. It'd be easy to push aside and say this movie is just a silly director having too much fun but then you wonder how is this someone's idea of fun or even better how can this exist? To think that a movie this sick and sad could be a commonality in a world of 6 billion people.

Hmmm. So you photograph Vogue models, but also are stupid enough to believe ridiculous fake "news" bullsh*t like pizzagate. I suspect you're trolling, lying, or both.

"Fake news" phrase is a false flag. Also remember people tried to say the Catholic Church pedofiles was fake news when it first came out, why do you find it less believable that politicians/ elites are involved in profiles rings than the Catholic Church?

Fake news? Go to wikileaks and look through the emails yourself - make your own mind up. :-) Search through Podesta's emails and search for pizza and be amazed at hoe someone can talk about pizza in over a thousand emails. Its not normal.

i would say you are pretty much spot on with the connections you made, i am very much on the same page as you, but i don't think this is just an echo chamber. there is something very satanic and evil occurring in the world, almost too terrible to comprehend, which makes it hard to deal with because we can't initially fathom how such things occur, but the clues hidden in plain sight will allow someone of only moderate intelligence to discern that there is a clear message being conveyed.

to be clear, i do not have a problem separating fiction from real life, i understand this is cinema or 'art' as some insist that it is, but for a long time now, tv and cinema have been used to convey deep truths, it is used as a way of discrediting the actual truth. take this film as a case in point. if someone were now to uncover a plot by someone to murder and eat a model, people's first reaction would be 'are you sure? that sounds like the plot of neon demon', immediately discrediting their investigation, this person would be brushed of as a fantasist. i am glad you mentioned kubrick, because there are obvious parallels to be drawn with eyes wide shut. i would also mention zoolander. a comedy i know, considered low brow in comparison to this, but consider both at their core featured a scene where the main character (a model) was brainwashed with bright flashing lights, images and music. this i found a little odd. the theme of a 'manchurian candidate' kind of sleeper agent has been explored in many movies, whereby the host is 'possessed' and is somehow changed and subject to the control of others. i think mk ultra is fairly common knowledge by now, if not look into that.

i don't want to use an imdb forum to get into pizzagate, but i will just say this, it is real news. i find the timing of this 'fake news' phenomenon awfully curious. i mean, we have known for decades that some news was not, shall we say, 100% accurate, but to just start pointing at news articles and calling them fake is a tad bizarre, especially considering the evidence that exists, especially in relation to podesta etc.

finally, i will point you in the direction of vigilantcitizen.com, if you don't know it already. for a long time now he has featured 'symbolic pics of the month'. the usual 'illuminati' stuff appearing with increasing frequency, one eye, 666, triangles, you know the stuff. but a more relevant and pertinent trend in relation to this movie is the depiction of female models as kind of living dolls, or dare i say dead, corpse-like in their statuesque poses. think of the kanye west video for 'monster' to get an idea. obviously a picture is worth a thousand words, so you will have to see for yourself to understand what i am getting at, but there is a kind of strange obsession in some circles with youth and the preservation of it, the blood rituals to stay young, the consumption of virgin (that is important) flesh. there is a telling moment near the end of ND when we see the stuffed animal, i think it was a leopard. taxidermy captures an element of their macabre obsession with wild, untamed beauty, they cannot let it be free, in it they recognise everything they do not have, hence the intense jealousy and envy, causing them to destroy it.

if i may, i would like to hear about your experience with mcQueen. i know little about him, although i did like some of his work and took more interest in his works after his tragic death. he seemed a troubled man who used frequently the skull symbol, a most obvious symbol of death, also i remember that weird controversy when he had that black model heavily shackled when walking the runway, any thoughts on that?

Hi Duke,

And yes the wonderfully talented Mr McQueen strangely killed himself? Weird that, is it not? Considering his iconic skull which still features on his clothing today. I was lucky enough to work with the Director Sarah Burton and all the top fashion stylists - whom i must say - were all absolutely lovely and incredibly talented people. I think maybe McQueen may have stumbled upon something he didnt like and either couldn't cope with the secrecy or was silenced. Why the hell would you kill yourself when you are achieving your dreams?

What was even more spooky, we produced the set in London at the very art school (now shut down obviously) that he attended when he was growing up and learning his craft... it was almost like his spirit was there with us, very spooky feeling for everyone. And guess what happened on the last day? Anna Wintour turned up... ANNA WINTOUR - THE DEVIL WEAR PRADA!? Hello!? Everyone was literally scared *beep* of her, but as im quite new to the fashion world i just smiled at her and she smiled back.... Didnt seem that devilish - but for some reason everyone that wasn't in the main production team - had to leave the BUILDING. jeez... these people think they are GODS. Litterally.

And apparently they are doing tests on mice - and this younger blood theory might actually be true. If it is the case - we actually might be onto something really deep and messed up here... and quite frankly - its terrifying.

I like this post and I too felt there was something more he was saying than simply a tale of horror.
He's in the industry. He knows what happens.
The fact it's set with LA as a backdrop almost like a hovering character and the mansion Ruby lives in are very telling. How did she acquire this mansion all on her own ? Why is it at the end that one character wanders some waste land as if she's still in LA in some distant future having reached immortality?
How long has Ruby been doing this, and who brought her into it ?

No idea what that evens means, are we talking about aliens here? Didnt think so. Thanks for the great link to the vigilante website... im going to watch it now! Thank you all for the great replies, its nice to know that other people can enjoy and appreciate the symbology involved in this incredibly frightening but beautiful film.

Absolutely loved DRIVE, but this film takes the biscuit for me. So brave.
