I hate the theme song and most of the music

Yes, really, I do. And I think it has been the first time it happened to me in a series.

You know, with every tv series you get used to the main theme or song, the credits, and it becomes part of its charm, part of what is to come, part of its character. But the main song here is so bland, so full of vocal cringe-worthy clichés ("ech-oooooooh", eugh) that kicks me in the face and makes me stand up and go quickly to the computer to pass the credits, and the endings.

But in general I have a problem with all the music featured in the series. It seems to take all the cues in the usual north american tv series, with dramatic songs that, in case you did not notice by then, reflect what the character is going through... but it feels artificial to me, it feels like it is something that this complex character (and the complex characters that are her sons) does not deserve.

So, yes, rant, and something that has not any importance at all. But I am alone in this?

On the contrary, I think the euro pop songs are pretty cool.

Depending on the episode, it frequently comes in like a harsh alarm clock, totally out of sync with the mood established by the episode.

Oh yes! I hate the song too! It's the type of pretentious Eurovision Song Contest music&lyrics that I find really annoying (especially when binge-watching on netflix which means I have to hear it every 40 minutes).

The rest of the music in the show is alright though - not amazing, but alright.

The intro annoys me, its too long and unpleasant. Always skip it.
The rest of the music doesn't bother me though.

It's one of those songs you either love or hate. I really like it but not the rest of oh lands stuff. I only noticed one other song the very last episode. It is a just a tv show after all, even though the writing& acting is awesome!

I liked it enough to check the artists channels out on youtube.

I like the music, so I guess my "sense of irony" isn't functioning. But at least I do know what irony means.
