take a shot if....
1. two above average looking people kiss in the rain
2. one or both characters go swimming or canoeing in a gross pond
3. virginity loss - bonus shot if it involves a lit fireplace & just chug the whole *beep* bottle if the guy asks the girl "are you sure?"
4. hot guy removes his shirt for no reason
5. crying, lots of crying (extra shot if you, the viewer, is the one crying)
6. drink if there is a missed connection
7. chug a beer if the film involves disapproving rich snob parents
8. domestic violence
9. kid dies of cancer (you are most likely crying at this point so please refer to #5)
10. someone gets shot
11. old people write letters
12. take a shot of top shelf whiskey if the film features a black character (we are assuming there will be no black characters present in a Nicholas Sparks films).
13. take a double if someone mutter the phrase "I'm not good enough for you"
14. eat a piece of pizza every time someone says "but I love you" (we are assuming that you are too drunk to keep drinking at this point so start carbo-loading.)
15. Take a shot if the film passes the Bechdel test

16. Sunset/Sunrise shot.
17. The male lead is a little rough around the edges, but a great guy.

She's a man, it's a sled, he's dead already.

Ooh, this will be fun! Hmm, what's left?

18) A South Carolina backdrop...lots of water, beautiful piers, boats, and sleepy yet charming little towns
19)Girl jumps into boy's arms with her legs wrapped around him like a child, and they kiss passionately
20)Playful montage representing the "falling in love" period, where boy and girl proceed to prance around in a lake or walk hand in hand through town
21) Triple shot if the movie poster shows boy and girl standing head to head in a close embrace
22) Another triple shot if one of the two main characters says something to the effect of "I don't care--I'll wait for you!" Or "I waited for you for so-and-so number of years!"
23) For the Sparks films that focus on middle aged couples, you have the bratty teenagers who turn into little sweethearts just in time for the closing credits
24) Extra points if Mommy or Daddy offer the boyfriend money or a college education if they break things off with their daughter
25) Lead actor and actress are very good looking. Perfect bodies, hair, clothes, everything!

26) One of the lead characters die after getting with/or back with their first love.
