So..did he just go off and lose touch with Tuck??

I think if an old man took me in and treated me like his own that when I grew up and moved away I would call the poor old guy sometimes, go visit, or write letters at the least

It seemed like he hadnt talked to Tuck in awhile because of the random message about his death. Seems like if you stayed in touch youd know if someone has been ill,or if you call and cant reach them something might have happened

He seemed surprised and didnt seem to see that coming

I assumed he just hadnt spoke to tuck in awhile,which is sad considering all tuck did for him

Hmmm, good point. Maybe they did keep in touch, but being on the oil rig he didn't get to see much of him? 'Cause I remember in the store his 'family' members saying something like, "heard you were back." Or what not. And maybe he wasn't really surprised, just caught off guard about the news of his death, since it could have just been of natural causes.
