Young and old Dawsons.

This was disconcerting for me all the way through the movie. While I COULD imagine that Liberto could have grown up to look much like Monaghan, I absolutely could NOT imagine Bracey growing up to look anything like Marsden. So as the story switched back and forth between 1992 and 2013 I was always jolted by the Dawson character.

I think they screwed up the casting for Dawson. We should be able to imagine that the younger Dawson might have grown up to look and act similar to the older Dawson.

Aside from that it is a pretty mediocre movie.

Luke Bracey is already 25 when this was made. Should have used a real teenager. James Marsden is already young looking for his age.

Paul Walker was one originally cast for older Dawson and when he passed away, they had to recast. Luke was already given part for younger Dawson and he actually does favor Paul to a certain extent. But it wouldn't have been fair to pull Luke from the project just cuz they had to recast the lead. So that's why I think the 2 Dawson's don't look similar.

They still would have had different colored eyes. Young Dawson has brown eyes. Older Dawson has blue eyes, and so did Paul Walker.

Bracey and Marsden don't look alike at all, that bugged me through the whole movie.Besides, Marsden is way hotter
