James Marsden was already in The Notebook!!!!!!!!!!!
wtf.
shareSo, what's wrong with that?
It was a number of years ago, and his part in the Notebook was only a few minutes long. And he looks older now, slightly different.
I wish I could see the problem with him in 2 Sparks' films.
His role in the first one (The Notebook) was overshadowed by Gosling, Garner, and Rowlands.
And like I said, he was in only a few minutes.
He starts off in a full body cast, face all swollen. Switch to him in Army uniform, leaning against a car.
Then he's the bon vivant, then the business man, then the jilted fiance. End of story.
Yeah, that's odd. It's like Chris Evans being in the Fantastic Four and Captain America... Can't have both ;)
(I know, my reasoning is weird)
I don't see what the problem is. That might be something to think about if he played Noah, Ryan Goslings character but he didn't. He was a minor character at best in The Notebook anyway.

"We're going to see the elves!"
Thank you. I don't see what the apparent consternation is about.
We should be able to separate one character, one film from another. Even if they're both from Sparks' novels.
Goodbye.
Perhaps the OP just wants to reach out for some sense of community.
really? youre upset over this casting choice? i take it you dont watch christopher nolan movies much?
