Really He used to be a five star author with books like the Notebook and Safe Haven but all these romance novels he keeps making are nothing but the same dull romantic crap I want to buy all of them and use them as toilet paper to wipe my ass with

Really this movie and book sucked and had nothing but another bland tragic ending

Nick should just stop selling his books to Hollywood and lay low and think of something better maybe his first thriller mystery novel or roman noir or something new and let Gillian Flynn take over look at Gone Girl it gives you a much more clear image of a love that is dangerous that they made into a successful neo-noir movie and it was very bloody yummy

Sorry honey but some of us like that romantic "crap"...but I do admit this book was one of my least favorite's that Nic Sparks wrote...he did kind of drop the ball and the writers of this screenplay did a crap job and made the movie worse than the book.

Nic Sparks is amazing. But I do think he needs to step away and regroup and figure out some new stuff, and stay with what he does best: romance

This movie was not that bad..I mean have you seen "Nights in Rodanthe"...that was a bad one. The Best of Me was a good film just lacked something...

I have to say if the novel was anything like the movie it must have been bad.
