Ok so......

Very bad! Very off putting... He also has a completely different face shape and just no resemblance!
Makes it really hard to properly connect with the story- the past and present just feel like 2 different stories.
I tried really hard to make some resemblance between them, but just couldn't. It pretty much ruined the film, which I think was good otherwise!

Actually, for me...young Dawson is the best part of the movie. Marsden is great, but I'm sick of seeing him in everything at this point.

It's like they cast the young Dawson before they realized that Heath Ledger would be permanently unavailable to portray the old Dawson.

The trivia did say the Paul Walker was cast before Marsden, so maybe Paul and Luke Bracey would have been more convincing? Honestly, I thought both actors did really well, so it's just unfortunate that they look nothing alike.
