Guy who got stabbed by a sceewdriver...

Anyone knows if that interview is online? It was hilarious.

How did that guy get into the film? He added nothing. He was so completly full of merde! 22 rounds don't have a primer on them like regular bullets. You don't fight with someone for 45 minutes when one of you has a gun.

He's making the point that on a .22 you can see very clearly if it's been struck by the hammer, which you can. It doesn't matter that it's a rimfire and not a centrefire, the point is still valid. And what he added was simple; humour. His interview was hilarious.

Oh, I think he did add a fair bit. Not saying everyone was like him, but he was an example of the cultural context that produced Perry and Burkett -- he helped demonstrate the nature of the community around them, its level of understanding and education and life expectations. Between him and Jeremy's brother, you realise how limited their possibilities are -- which obviously doesn't excuse Perry and Burkett's crimes (how could anything possibly excuse them?!), but it does help give it some context.

The story about the screwdriver is bizarre, though -- funny, perhaps, but also a bit sad -- when he reckons the thing went into his chest up to the hilt, but he also claims the blade was longer than his chest is wide. Almost everyone in the documentary was a drama queen in one way or another, which I guess is a part of the social context as well.

You might very well think that. I couldn't possibly comment.

I felt so bad for that guy. The director asked him about his illiteracy for 5 minutes and you could tell he was embarrassed.

And the "Bailey sucks" comment made me laugh, haha.

I always feel so sad when someone says they can't read or didn't learn until adulthood. I imagine how that would feel. It's good he learned, though.

Do you think he really did? I thought he was pretty clearly making that bit up, to regain some face, because Herzog misconstrued a comment of his and started praising him for learning to.
