I've seen so much hate for this movie..

..., especially from people who apparently are judging it without watching it. Why is this such a trend? Why are we expected to consider an opinion valid when the person criticizing (or praising) a piece of media has not experienced it?

Anywho, I went in to this with low expectations, and was pretty surprised. It was nothing mind-blowing but it was definitely entertaining and fun, never insulted my intelligence, had a few genuinely awesome moments, and I feel it's getting an undeservedly bad rap. Just wanted to get that out there and see if anyone agrees.

I would be interested in a sequel, though that seems unlikely at the moment due to its current box office, but who knows, right?

I agree that it's getting far more hate than it deserves. It certainly wasn't my favorite movie, but it wasn't horrible. I think part of the reason it's failing is the lack of promotion... I didn't know it was a thing until my mom won us tickets to an early screening, lol.

I heard that there were 5 movies planned, but seeing how badly this one is doing at the Box Office, they might scrap the sequels.

This reminds me of the feedback for The Man From Uncle. I don't think the majority, the masses, "get" his directing style. I believe it has something to do with the importance the music has in the film. You either love it or hate it. For me, I loved this film as well as TMFU.

I really just thought it was ok. Very heavy on the CGI though.

I'm trying to go for an engaging, funny youtube channel so, if you have the time, take a look. Hope you enjoy what you see. Thanks in advance. A review of the movie here-https://youtu.be/AkM3BU5swmg

I'm not ashamed to say I found this film mind blowing. Bit I don't get the hatred as well, especially apparently from the critics.

Painful to see such an underrated classic treated so poorly. Reminds me of:

-The Thing (1980)
-Apocalypto
-Excalibur
-The 13th Warrior
-Unbreakable
-The Empire of the Sun
-Dark City
-Stardust
-Peter Pan
