Seriously, the same musical score, sometimes I knew what the girls where going to say because Black Christmas is my favorite movie. I had to research just to make sure it wasn't a Black Christmas remake. Took me 3 nights to finish this movie because I kept falling asleep, BUT i loved the dance scene.

Yeah, it is pretty much a Black Christmas ripoff in every way, just with more gore. It's uncanny how similar parts of the score are too.
And I agree, the dance scene was great! I had to rewind and watch it a few times. Lol
What are the odds that someone who is thinking about watching this hasn't already seen Black Christmas? This isn't exactly the first movie you stumble across when you're looking into the genre. I would bet that, like myself, most anyone who seeks out this flick has already exhausted the classics and is looking for something new.
It is extremely similar to Black Christmas, to the point that it feels more like it than the 2006 remake. But is that so bad? I'd rather watch something like this than suffer through another worthless found footage/torture porn crapfest. At least these guys are imitating an era of horror that I actually liked.
Thanks for the review. I believe I'm going to check this one out. Huge fan of Black Christmas, and was somewhat disappointed in the remake. Maybe this one makes amends and sends up the genre for fans who truly are looking for a nostalgic take on 80's horror.
