Salvo has two showings during the LIFF 2013. It's an Italian film with Saleh Bakri, a Palestinian actor, in the lead role. It won the Semaine de la Critique top prize at Cannes this year. The LIFF's programme says that it references Hitchcock, generally, and Terence Young's Wait Until Dark and William Wyler's The Collector particularly.
