can someone spoil this for me?

I understand the basic plot and I even watched the first 20 or so minutes of this but, found the acting and overall quality to be mediocre. I would still really like to know what the hell happens. I don't know if it goes in the obvious direction with the main guy's wife finding about what happened, leading to his arrest and their divorce or, if the filmmakers decided to do something different.

If that's the biggest "flaw" then the movie is pretty good. It's not a flaw because it is explained earlier.

1) He has no friends.
2) They used to say "“You can tell who your true friends are by whether or not they'’ll help you move a dead body."

It's only logical that he turns to his boyhood friend. There's no one else to turn to!

I thought the movie was nicely done.
