why give her a blanket?

couldnt she have just put her clothes back on?

reply

You mean the apron?

No, she couldn't just put her clothes back on, because the caller had the manager take them out to the car, remember? The whole point was to keep the girl vulnerable and unlikely to get up and walk out. Here she is naked except for an apron, and her clothes are not even physically in the store.

reply

You know the whole apron thing was stupid because they could have just given her the spare uniform.

reply

Did you actually watch the film?

reply

No, because now her clothes were evidence.

reply

To answer your question, they would have put a blanket round her as she would have been in shock. It is an initial treatment for shock to keep body temperature up.

The other posters seem to have misinterpreted your question, but I'm assuming (unless I'm mistaken), that you're referring to her having a blanket wrapped around her when she is leaving the fast food place at the end of the movie, rather than her covering her modesty when she could with the apron during the main part of the movie.

reply

Not talking about the apron If I was referring to the apron I would have posted couldn't she have put the apron back on

reply

This is true. Clothes or not-shock blankets are used for just about everything. Its good for a lot of practical reasons, but when My brother was an EMT for a short bit, he called them blankeys. Because they also provide instinctive nurturing comfort after any sort of a trauma. And if anyone deserves a blankey, rape victims are at the top of the list.

Kind of funny when you think about it.

reply

I feel compelled to think murder victims deserve the most but considering they don't seem to complain about being in body bags I suppose we could reserve blankey's for rape victims. :P

reply

Murder victims cannot appreciate any comfort the blankey provides.

the ungrateful bastards. :P

reply

Nope, but if Becky had a brain she would have asked for a spare uniform since they took her uniform out to the car, but she didnt because she is an avarage stupid teenage American girl.

reply

so blame the victim even though through out the movie every request she asked for was denied

Hello seestra, nice to see you again.

reply

DONT *beep* ASK!!!! DEMAND UR RIGHTS OR DO U UR HOMEWORK ON UR RIGHTS FFS...CANT DEFEND RETARDNESS!!!

reply

I suggest you read up on what really happened.

reply

why? does the movie lie to me??

reply

If you have to ask, then you need to do the research, because you are making pronouncements about how the people should have behaved, when you don't know what really happened.

are u retarded? i know what the movie tells me, i shouldnt have to do research about what happens in real life, when the movie is made to tell me what did happen...omfg go to bed u are just making a fool of urself. Im not talking about what she did or not did in real life, im talking about what happens in the movie, and if the movie is true, then shes not a very bright young girl, but then again, like someone else wrote in a thread here, that
apparently knew her from real life, "she wasnt the sharpest knife in the drawer" if u understand what that phrase means. But i dont know, im just writing what ive learned from the movie and she should have just gone out from there and told them to show it up their asses, and gone to the police station by herself since it was like 10 yards away....

She was bright, certainly one of sharpest knives in the drawer because she'd been accepted in a pre-med program. She didn't lack intelligence at all. Her problem was that she had too much faith and trust in human nature.

She was on her way to going to college for premed and was in the top 10 of her highschool class. She was violated in several ways for 3 hours and in still in emotional shock and wasn't saying much of anything. victims like this are usually tuned out of reality or dazed for lack of a better term.

Remind me to never trust medical students, they clearly leave their brain at home when they go to work.

reply

They gave her a blanket to indicate that there will be a sequel, where Becky is thoroughly "inspected" and tried out by all the coppers at the station.

i thought the same thing,
from the time Sandra hung up on the caller to the police arriving Becky still sitting around naked except for the apron?
i thought Kevin was going to immediately run out to the car to get the clothes but instead he tries the *69 hack & fails
