There are so many good things about this movie. Interesting characters. A family faced with big challenges. Nice music. Humor. Friendship. A brother's love. Lessons to learn.
Joan Chen and BooBoo Stewart are awesome. Can't help loving the character Doug, (Tyler Posey), who is perhaps an example for us to follow.
To discuss the exact nature of the story will spoil it to a degree. Try to avoid revealing the movie's themes if you plan to see it. The movie will be more enjoyable not knowing the characters' circumstances ahead of time, though it isn't a show stopper if you do. I've watched it again and purchased my own copy.
