What was the whole story about
I watched this show and just wanted if some one could give me a summery about what it was all about?
shareA billionaire (Morpeth) along with a fellow WWII spitfire wingman (Teddy Cockburn) create a network of power comprised of ambitious and ruthless people. It includes reporters, doctors, lawyers, etc. Decades later, they are all wealthy and influential and ready to try and seize the highest office in the land.
They use a private security force they've created to do all their dirty work. Two people caught in the middle (Gina Hawkes and Harry Venn) unravel some of the truth during their effort to find the man (Jason Styles) who ordered the deaths of their mother and brother respectively.
In the end, the plot is foiled by Harry's own brother (Mark Venn) who's death was faked so that he (and Paul Hillman) could continue his work as one of the private security assassins. Mark turns against his masters when his younger brother is designated for "cleaning."
Lots of questions remain. Was the network they developed part of a larger and older network? (eg. masons, skull & bones, etc) Were Gina's parents low ranking members of that network but refused to follow the rules and be silent once they learned of the crimes they were being asked to conceal on behalf of some of the network's members? How were Mark Venn and Paul Hillman recruited into the private security force?
