Another Turd from De Niro

After The Intern, Dirty Grandpa, and now this, the only chance for redemption for him is The Irishman.

The Intern was pretty good!

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Before that about the only recent one of his I've liked was Silver Linings Playbook.

reply

"Silver Linings Playbook" was great but it doesn't count here since he was not the star.

Robert DeTurdo has participated in more crap in the last six years than he ever did from 1970 until 2010. Though he started working in just about any garbage movie around the turn of the century (2000). before then, at least it looked like he read the script before filming.

Like Samuel L. Jackson, DeTurdo seems to be in every damn movie. Too bad those old multi-millionaires do not know when to retire. Or as Sam Kinison used to say, "Know when to die."

Hollywood execs see names as 'box-office draws', the same with all these reboots and sequels utterly dependent on nostalgia attraction.

They all believe they can capture what "Star Wars" has... not realizing (because they're all shallow idiots) that "Start Wars" is its own unique animal with a fanbase that is both large and obsessed.

you said it; the big turd returns with more smelly turds. He's Mr. turd from now on.

I wouldn't say The Intern was a terrible movie. It was a mediocre movie. This was terrible, as was Dirty Grandpa, and several of his other movies over the last decade. Really since the turn of the century he has been in crap after crap similar to Al Pacino. It used to be a big deal to see DeNiro or Pacino in a movie. Now it pretty much means the movie will be sh*t. The Irishman should be good, but that is because of Scorsese, not De Niro.
