Something interesting that doesn't make sense

I was just thinking that this guy has done this for years and years and years. So he had the scheme down pat. Even though the picture of the boy was in black and white I am certain that the description of the boy was written next to the picture for precisely that reason.

It would have SAID that he had blonde hair and blue eyes. The idea that in the middle of it all he was able to run out broke and in a panic and get hair dye and dye his hair like that doesn't really make any sense.

I think he took it as a challenge. He'd confused all of Europe and he figured, "let me see what I can really pull off" so he picks someone he looks absolutely nothing like and decides to see if he can fool them all even though it's blatantly obvious he is not the kid.

All his stories about doing it on a whim and being panicked don't make any sense. The way the movie unfolds it makes you think he just got lucky. Then you figure out he has done this for years. So he is clearly lying when he acts like he was winging it.

This was his greatest con. You can tell he's proud of it because he would never have gone on the news if he felt worried about all the things he pretended to be worried about.

He was able to bleach his hair blonde with a box of Lady Clairol AND find someone there with a tattoo gun?! The Spanish officials were extremely incompetent. Allowing this supposed kid free reign of the office and access to a phone and files?! And the Anerican woman from the FBI was a total idiot, and should have been fired.
