and didn't take to this movie so gave up. Anyways, the guy who recommended it asked me what I thought of the 'twist' and I gave a wooly answer. What was the twist? I've seen in other threads he alleged that the family may have killed the boy, was that it?

They guy that was the imposter speculated that the family had killed the kid. It turns out that the imposter was wanted by Interpol for taking over 40 different identities. The guy served 6 years in prison and has a wife and 3 kids.

Biggest twist was that the Family pretended that he was Nicholas to hide the fact that they killed him.

So here we are thinking the imposter fooled them all along, actually the family fooled the imposter
