What about his PERSONALITY???

Fine, let's ignore the obvious, that he looked different (eye color, hair color, facial features, etc), lost his southern accent and acquired a strong French one. Let's ignore than he looked to have some type of Mediterranean ethnic background (dark features), while the REAL boy looked very WHITE (pale with blonde hair), but something I just cannot overlook the fact that the REAL boy had his own unique personality and there is NO WAY anyone can not notice that, especially his own family. FINE, he had amnesia. That doesn't mean that his personality/temperament, sense of humour ALL change. The only way he could have come close to imitating the boys true personality is if he had spent a lot of time with him and had picked up on all of his mannerisms, etc. NO, he never met him once in his life!!!!

I think the only personality aspect they shared by sheer coincidence was the love of Michael Jackson, both imitating his dance moves to a tee.
Regarding the issue with his looks, his mother at one point claimed his father as being Algerian I believe.
He also tried to explain away the facial differences as having been the results of constant beatings by his "captors". I suspect that there is a kernel of truth to having endured actual beatings as a child because he did have untreated broken bones/fractures which he was able to use to his advantage to further his crazy story.
How this man fooled authorities, INTERPOL, the Embassy and mostly the family is so far beyond comprehension.
Especially the family..shame on them for either not noticing, ignoring & accepting it and mostly further passing on that they actually believed it was him if they knew he was dead.

No, Franklin's mother made The Algerian claim, not Nicolas's mother. Or was that what you meant?

So sorry for the late reply.
Yes, that is what I meant but reading at it again I could have clarified it better.
Thank you!

How many people do you know who've been kidnapped, tortured and raped over a period of four years?

None, right?

So you have no idea how that might affect the personality of someone it happened to.

So, if you were the family here, and this guy's telling you he's Nicholas, and telling you he's been through years of that kind of abuse, you would absolutely know it wasn't him because he wasn't acting like his old self?

Frankly, nobody who isn't in their position can possibly judge that.
