Should have made it in Russian !!!

This was B war movie making at its best. If they had made it in all subtitles then it would have been way better and believable . That little difference would have made this so much more believable . I would love to know whose brilliantly dumb idea it was to make these actors sound American and so inauthentic??
I mean what a stupid decision. People love war films (like me) but you can't make history look so incredibly false and unreal. Especially in the case of a film on Stalingrad which was such a bloody and crazy battle. To make this so off the mark should offend the Russian people. It would have been like if they made Pearl Harbor in Japanese . That actually may have made that POS film a bit better lol. This movie was sadly better than Pearl Harbor which is the pathetic part lol. What a mess this was !!!

I think you saw a dub. I'm watching it right now and it's in Russian and German.

Watched it on Starz! today.
The Russians spoke in their fluent tongue as did the Germans in theirs.

End credits were also in Russian.

It's just all wrong. You guys think this film was good ??
It's way to American and modern looking for a battle that happened 70+ years ago. I mean for such a widely known battle during WW2 and one that has countless documentaries and films on it they should have done such a better job.
It's also not entirely in Russian on the Starz version. The American spoken doesn't even have accents lol. It sounds like an American speaking. Also the fact it was made in 3D and all modern looking is a disgrace for paying homage to such a bloody and violent battle that took so many lives. It just does the battle no justice and kind of makes it into a joke. Anybody who is Russian IMO should be pissed off at this terrible attempt to re create such a personal battle to them.
I will finish with saying that if a director and movie company attempted to make a film on let's say Iwo Jima or D-Day and tried to make it like the quality of this one I would be pissed off as well. That's why "saving Private Ryan" and "Flags of our Fathers" we're made well and looked exactly like they should have. It's not a subject to drop the ball and turn it into 3D modern garbage. It was a real event and you cannot make things up about actual true events such as battles where there's only one way to tell them along with a good story to hoeing them.

Apparently, the original Russian dialog was dubbed to English (since relatively few Americans speak Russian) and the German dialog was left as it was. The lack of accents is due to American actors doing the dubbing.

Also the fact it was made in 3D and all modern looking is a disgrace for paying homage to such a bloody and violent battle that took so many lives. It just does the battle no justice and kind of makes it into a joke.
Actually, during the "Big War", the world was just as colorful as it is now--it was not all grainy black-and-white.
