feels like a comedy bang bang parody

This show seems intentionally funny, it seems like every shot was captured inbetween the actors' uncontrollable laughing fits. Anyone else getting a tongue in cheek vibe? I searched the writting credits for someone with a history in comedy, couldn't find anything
