How about all the "Reality" shows on Cable TV make the old trash look like high culture ... if the 50's were TV's "Golden Age".. we are now in TV's "Dark Ages"....

There are way too many "reality" shows on TV with most of them being pure trash. From ther Khartrashians to to the Chrisleys this must stop. No more cooking, dancing or any other "talent" shows like these ever again on my TV. This includes American Idol. Why this show has not been cancelled amazes me and most viewers.
The only true reality program is Cops which has lasted around 20 years on network television. It is probably the only show of this type which is not scripted.
Even Cops has admitted to/been caught staging and faking some of the police action on their show.
What these stupid TruTv shows remind me of is the Canadian TV show Trailer Park Boys. However TPB handles the documentary style of filming more brilliantly than these TruTV shows could ever hope to do. The first time I saw Trailer Park Boys I wasn't sure what to think, I thought it could really be real. When you watch the TruTV towing shows, you can tell right away how fake they are.
