Legend.

I just finished this documentary, i am so totally blown away by what Nicholas winton did for the children, to think that nearly 6000 people wouldn't be alive today because of his selfless actions is beyond me, he is a national icon. Makes me proud to be English once more...

Agreed. I am American and it baffles me how some people become famous for the most obnoxious behavior while the truly admirable, socially responsible, caring people get trampled and overlooked. There are three messages on this board and until now none of them have any responses. Yet, pick any "train wreck" celebrity and their boards are flooded with comments and, worse, some with people willing to do ANYTHING to be just like them.

While the internet and social media are amazing technological developments, it's ironically created a great divide in how people interact with each other and are becoming more disconnected on an interpersonal level.

I agree. This man was amazing. And to think he lived to be 106 as well.

It is pretty amazing to think that we came very close to never knowing about this man at all! Glad we do as we need great stories to lift us all!

Trying to find a DVD of this that will play in the US. This guy was amazing. A socialist his whole life, and never once thought he was a hero...

i borrowed one from the public library. The DVD case says it's from Menemsha FIlms (they have a website and it's based in California). Over the bar code on the back it has this code: ASIN:B00FGTU3RA

It plays fine on my player.
