Of course they made it PC, Vince Flynn rolling in his grave!!

Just looking at the synopsis, the plot got changed to some kind of corrupt American character trying to forment problems in the Middle East, probably for some oil company, defense contractor, etc. Vince Flynn's novels, including this one, were a no holds barred depiction of modern day Islamic terrorism and were feel good reads about the CIA going after the jihadis.

I kinda did expect liberal Hollywood go to PC and not feature Muslim terrorists, even though the source material featured Muslim terrorists.

How awful that terrorism and its complicated nature could be on display here.

The fact that the US has fueled terrorism through advancing its geopolitical interests and protected and sold weapons to countries that fund terrorism, like Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

A story should be more than propaganda.

And no, I don't think that Islam and many islamic countries are innocent. They have taken part in both funding and protecting and fueling terrorism for the same reasons, regardless of how their actions and agenda cause endless strife and death to civilians.

I'd rather see a film that tells a realistic, nuanced story of terrorism than one that pretends that the US is the good guy here. It isn't. Neither are any of the other countries involved.

Terrorism ain't complicated. America doesn't fuel terrorism. Islam and Islam alone fuels terrorism.
