Where's the rest of it?

Only saw this recently and just loved it, but where's the rest?

Yeah, the rest! This was like reading a great book you borrowed from the library only to find that the last couple of chapters have been ripped out. It was such a great "series" that I guess just wanted more and therefore I found the "ending" very unsatisfying.
P.S. Love your "Best Of ..." lists - I agree with pretty much everything in them!

I thought it was great to end it like that because it left room for interpretation. It also kinda felt like hey people it is what is happening right now it is up to you to change the course. But if you are going for a closed ending there where, in my opinion many hints pointing that it goes back to "Normal"

The whole point of it and the novel was the coup against Dawkins worked.

The coup succeeded--end of story. There's nothing more to show. The coup against Dawkins worked; and he had his say and made his point knowing he was out anyway, so challenged his party to do the right thing.

Then, they didn't do the right thing, they did the political thing, as he suspected they would.

His story would have been over anyway, no matter what, because had he stood up in the Commons to oppose the war, so, he'd have gotten a vote of no confidence anyway immediately following his appearance in the Commons. And he'd have been out as party leader.

So, either way, the story of Dawkins was over.

There's no place to go in the story after that.
