Same here I really don't like these two guy's they seem very creepy!Plus they rip off the people who they are buying stuff from.I'm a proud Canadian and these guys make me mad as heck!Wish the show never was made it makes me mad every time I see it on tv!

Wow, I thought I was the only one who thought these two were phonies!

I agree, these two are as fake as a 3 dollar bill. Scott in particular is annoying, and Sheldon seems to twiddle his thumbs for the most part. Scott's lame-o "Drugstore Cowboy" look also makes me laugh. Real cowboys must roll over laughing seeing this pretender. And being from Alberta, these guys are trying to embody all the stereotypes the rest of the country thinks we represent. I can assure you, not everyone here in Alberta is a cowboy, or as clueless as these two.

I also can't stand their haggling. Scott wrings his hands and they play stupid "surprised" music when a potential seller hits them with a price they don't want to pay. Then he proceeds to offer an insultingly low amount for the goods. I suppose most people who appear on the show don't want to appear greedy, but by giving in to these two nitwits, they're playing right into their hands.

The American sister show, AMERICAN PICKERS is so much better. Plus, you don't have the displeasure of seeing a grinning Scott Cozens pontificating about picking, or whatever else he pretends to know about.

Don't waste your time on this show, folks.

This show sucks, the addition of the "character" Keenan made it seem too scripted in addition to him being useless. If I saw Scott coming up to my door I would slam it in his face. That guy is the creepiest man in TV

reply

Not just me then!

I have watched American Pickers from time to time, and those two are interesting charcaters compared to "our" version.

Geez, there is something about these two that just makes my skin crawl. They actually come off like they are swindling people. They seem like utterly cheap and conviving SOB's.

reply

Hey CanadaPhil... Conviving isn't a word.

Conniving is probably what you're thinking of.

Werd Polìcia on duty!

I did like this show until I saw the episode "Cowboy Country" which originally aired April 16, 2012. I already thought that they took advantage of old people when they would bid them down to a quarter or less of what they sell for. What really made me mad was when in this episode when SCOTT's WIFE bid on the neon meat sign. Scott said he and his wife wanted that sign, so she bid on it. This is called shill building. Anyone who sells on Ebay knows that this is against the rules. You can not get someone you know to bid on your items and artificially drive the price up. If Scott or his wife really wanted that sign, why didn't he just pay Sheldon half of what he originally paid for it and be done with it? Scott's wife stopped bidding at $4000, from an original bid of $1000. If I was the winner on that item and I knew it was Scott's wife bidding against me, I would have been pissed. It is almost like bidding against the seller himself. All the money his wife bid on it would go to them anyway, minus the auctioneers fee. If Sheldon was a professional auctioneer he would know this. Scott's wife may have bid on the item, but he is directy benefiting by getting the item to put in his kitchen, or by driving the price up. I am surprised that the auctioneer let them do this. His parents and friends were there too. It makes me wonder how many other shill bidders there were. I can understand if they bid for themselves, but then I wonder why wouldn't he offer them a deal before they even did the auction? He obviously wants to squeeze money out of everybody they can. I have seen friends of the seller bid on items at auctions, but then they have won the auction and paid for it, so they are just buying. It seemed like Scotts wife was bidding ON BEHALF of Soctt and that is shill bidding in my eyes.

That fatty in the leather trenchcoat and cowboy hat looks like a complete idiot.

I disagree. I actually liked these guys. They seemed genuine to me and I found it a relaxing good watch. It's nice to see a bit of Canadiana, history and a triptik, if you will, of towns of the Country we, as Canadians, love. The premise is the same as American Pickers. Yes they rip off, and feed off, people who are sick, down on their luck and selling off their precious heirlooms from lost relatives. Sad. But I thought it was more pleasant then the American's.

Funny thing, I never see an episode, like American Pickers, where they pick off a picker. Doesn't make any sense unless the pickee is again down on his luck... Anyway, go watch your American shows and buy your China made products..
