Why was it so hard to convict Dukhovich?

I mean the guy was a murderous dictator who killed by the thousands/millions. And he walks free if one certain assassin (Darius) doesn't arrive at the courthouse by 5pm? Bullshit!

reply

It typifies the lousy plot.

reply

I only went to see this movie for Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L Jackson. The movie itself blowed.

reply

Ryan has made a load of sh*t movies. One in which he starred but was killed off in the first 3 minutes.

reply

Are you referring to Life? He heavily featured in the trailer but got killed in the first 15 minutes.

reply

No, he's talking about Criminal, with Kevin Costner.

reply

It's a joke making fun of action movies' "plot."

The movie is all about the bromance.
Dukhovich was even killed by a "This is Sparta" kick after his babbling speech, likened him to the self-important but unimportant messenger character in 300.
reply

For starters, they really screwed up the concept of hearsay. The dude that had his family killed was testifying about things he saw. That’s not hearsay.

reply

Lol, I thought the same thing. Eyewitness testimony gets convictions all the time.

reply

eyewitness without supporting evidence cannot be used for a conviction. Human testimonies are just not reliable enough.

reply

You are mistaken.

reply

Did he kill that many? I remember the photos being uploaded but didn't think he was entering Stalin territory.

reply

There is a quick throwaway line that explains it. Someone says something to the affect that he's killed every person willing to testify against him, up to that point.

reply

because no one had actual proof he killed anyone.
