Fits well within its genre

If you were to actually compare this movie to other movies of its ilk. Like Pink Floyds the Wall, or the Who's Tommy, it measures up quite well. I don't think its fair to try to compare it to any big budget hollywood flick. Remember, it was only a $4m budget. There were some pretty awesome scenes in there with visual and musical moments.
The script was not a strong point, agreed, but if you're looking for a medium to show case the latest Nightwish music. This was it. My only complaint...not ENOUGH nightwish music. ;-)

How does one eat an Ice Cream Sundae in the Matrix?

I have to say I firmly believe the script was pretty good. Sure, not a masterpiece, but it does the plot some justice.

The film can certainly seem a little odd to someone who's not familiar with Nightwish, but I think it can still be enjoyed.

I agree.

+ it was Tuomas´ individual project, like a song about himself.
