Is this to Nightwish what Moonwalker was to Michael Jackson?

I haven't seen the movie (yet), but from what I've read on Wikipedia and this message board, it seems like this essentially a collection music videos tied together by a story, similar to Moonwalker with Michael Jackson (I'm also counting all the stuff before the plot where Michael has to fight dancing soldiers and Joe Peschi), and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra with The Lost Christmas (or a similar title). So is that the case? No spoilers please, but if it is, I can see why a lot of people wouldn't like it; I think I would find it entertaining though, or at least interesting.

...because I haven't seen Moonwalker. Imaginaerum is not a collection of music videos, but a story told through flashbacks and memories. There's also a distinct lack of "songs", meaning it has a score based on the album, but there's not a lot of singing/music with vocals in the film.

It's been a while since I saw it.
