this movie makes me want to punch my tv screen

Everything about this movie makes me want to cry, I feel to bad for the mother. 1st she loses her daughter, then she becomes a victim. Her friend is a bitch whose only pretending to care. People throwing bricks at her window and sending cards with a noose on it. And the tombstone! That was beyond low. I can't believe how insensitive everyone in this movie is. If I was the mother I don't know what'd I would do. The sad thing, is this type of thing is always happening and I just don't get it. To cause someone pain is one thing. One that I can't even stand doing on accident. To cause someone enough pain to kill them. That's beyond low. But these teenagers are using someones pain and suffering as a game. I'm sorry, Im ranting but this movie has such an impact on me and I haven't even seen the whole thing yet.

Omg me too. That stupid guidance councelor telling Rachel that it isn't the bullys' fault that Dina killed herself. C'mom really? I hope Skylar gets punished.

reply

wait, what happened? skylar standing up for Dina? Skylar's mom is the culprit? I knew she was being insincere but I didn't know she was a piece of stupid jealous pshyco ..... oh boy. skylar just crashed. wow!

reply

Do you know what the text she got said? I can't see those on my tv because it's only 12 inches...

reply

It said I will never forgive you.

reply

No, it said "I never forget."

This movie took an interesting, yet somewhat predictabe turn.
I just don't understand why a seemingly responsible adult would intentionally damage a teenager's life, supposedly for the good of her own child's success, but can't say it wasn't building to that point in this movie.
Hopefully, this is just fiction, and not art imitating life.

I don't know. I heard there was an actual myspace incident. Where a young 13 year old girl committed suicide because this other girls mom made an account as a young boy and talked to her, flirted with her, make her like him and than turned on her and called her all these nasty things. I don't know the whole story, but it's real.

The horrible thing about this movie, is much like the great series 'Law & Order', this was "ripped from the headlines." Stuff like this happens and it's a very, very sad. That stated, as I guy, if I was put in the Mother's position, I can only say I would have been hitting stuff and people...HARD...BIG TIME.

The name of the girl was Megan Meier. She was 13 years old. Lori Drew was the one who created the MySpace.

She was indicted in 2008, but in 2009, she was acquitted.

Actually the true victims name is Jessica Logan. Her boyfriend Ryan Salyers (has a facebook in Cincinatti Ohio)
betrayed her by leaking the photos. Google her.

There have been more than one victim of sexting and bullying. This movie took a bit of every one of these cases. Yes, Jessica Logan sexted a picture to her boyfriend, but Megan Meier was bullied by the mother of a classmate (both of which were themes in this movie)

Thank you for the information. Both incidents are truly sad. my daughter watched this movie and began to cry because she has said mean things to some kids in school This movie has made her realize that she wants to make that right.

I managed to finish watching this movie and had tears in my eyes.. I can't believe how they tried to sweep this underneath the rug like it wasn't anyones fault. That it was Dina's fault for hanging herself. I mean COME ON!! She's not the one that made that picture go Viral. It was sent to her boyfriend, someone got the phone and sent it to a bunch of people then people called her a Whore. This movie really upset me. And it's based on Real Life. This stuff goes on all the time, I'm sure of it.

What was done to the tombstone made me cry. The other mom actually did that??? That was even worse than sending out the photo in the first place. I think someone like that cannot be rehabilitated, sick.

As long as I have one ass instead of two I'll wear what I like if that's alright with you

That really annoyed me, what annoys me more is that I would have phoned the police after the school refusing to help, then as soon as i opened the cards with a noose on rnag them without opening the rest to try and get fingerprints, and the grave. I would have kept ringing the police until they done something or banned me, then I would have rang the news people again until something was done. I'm only at the part where she heard something in her house but it is really bothering me how much isn't being done.

reply

Well, worse happens in real life, unfortunately....

The current political climate not only forgives bullying but actually encourages it. We adults should be ashamed... we are teaching our kids all these bad examples of how NOT to behave by doing them ourselves!

I have never seen a Lifetime movie (or perhaps any movie) that took my emotions on such a ride. I agree, that tombstone was just horrendous.

reply

It was all terrible, but the tombstone was the worst part for me. How dare someone desecrate a person's final resting place. That is sacred. Poor girl and poor mom!
