I had the same thought. During her job interview she merely says that everyone has a history, when asked about her reasons for leaving her former job. On the other hand, when one of the thugs asks for a painkiller during interrogation, she gives him a pill, and later says it was one of her birth control pills.

shareIf you think the police officer's gender is a mystery, then just try determining the gender of that one character that is the leader of some gang or something (??) I don't even know how to describe her/him. It is the worst casting ever.

I am fairly confident we're seeing a gender change here. Very few photos of Silje Torp on the web.
BTW, it appears she will disappear for Season 3 from what I can tell.
For goodness sake, shes a woman. And a well known norwegian actress if you look at her page. No tranny that one. Her name is Silje Torp. A womans name. Imagine that!

It's not the "actress" part of your statement that I was laughing at.
Even if I were, call her an "actress" would only be right and proper if she had changed to a female gender after being male. In other words, that does not prove she isn't transgender.
For the record though, I don't think she is transgender. I only posted in response to the humor of your comment.
On the other hand, I DO suspect that that other character on the show - the worst ever casting of a gang leader - is a transexual (Female to male). Otherwise, they are the most androgynous person I've ever seen.

Have to agree with you regarding the androgynous gang leader. DH and I both referred to her as "Bullet."

shareI thought he was a girl for sure and that they were making a mistake saying he was a guy while spying on him. I thought for sure when he finally talked on the boat I was going to be hearing a woman's voice. The cop sure looks like a guy. I thought she was a guy for sure until I saw her tits. Sure looks like a transgender to me.
shareIt is very rare for a person to be 100% male or 100% female, in fact according to Wikipedia there are over 20 different genders, plenty of different combinations of X and Y chromosomes possible. Therefore, it is possible that her head/face is male while the rest is female.
