S3 E1 Question. Possible Spoilers

Just started watching season 3.

While in the hospital, the crazy old man who is in the room with Frank referred to him has "Silvio" He also said "It's all a dream". In the Sopranos, Silvio was shot, and to the best of my recollection, we never really found out his fate. Is it possible they are setting up some sort of tie in to The Sopranos, in which the entire Lilyhamer story actually is a "coma dream" of Silvio Dante?

I am doing a binge watch of season 3, so I will be caught up with all episodes by the end of tomorrow.

Interesting, but I think it's just because they guy is crazy. There's been a lot of nods to the Sopranos, including actors, musics, how scenes play out, etc.

Yes it's obviously deliberate - there's been a whole load of in-jokes about the Sopranos, particularly when they visited New York. And of course that ridiculous hair (bear in mind Steve Van Zant has been bald from an early age)
