So Many Loose Ends (Spoilers)

If there is really one complaint about this show it is that there are a lot of loose ends with characters that introduced only to disappear and it is never addressed.

Season Three lacks pretty much any of the police officers. They were a major part of Season One, a minor part of Season Two and non-existent Season Three. What happened to the leather-wearing police chief not to mention the former police chief - last we saw the latter was when she had a broken jaw in the bar.

We don't see the African chef, the Indian IT guy or Odd Job and any of the muscle. You'd think Johnny would have called in the muscle when he went to war in Season Three.

It is almost as if the writers introduced so many new characters with the Rio storyline that they couldn't fit in the older characters.

On that note:

1) What is up with the cocaine dealers? I thought Roar would need to call in Johnny to help but nothing came of it.
2) Johnny's ex-girlfriend killed her new boyfriend and then nothing.
3) Jan's new ex-girlfriend can live with the hit-and-run by leaving the country?
4) Dag is suddenly allowed to walk out the hospital and the police don't need to question him or anything?

I also found there to be too many loose ends at the end. Nr 2,3 & 4 for sure.

First of, number 1. He payed them off with Torgeir's money, so thats how he got away with that. But shouldn't he somehow solved it so Torgeir got his money back? Perhaps a plit for season 4?

And jumping to number 4. I figured they would need to keep Jan alive, cause without his new testimony, nothing would stop the police from charging Dag with Randi's murder. And I also questioned why the police didn't pursue Dag for the crime?

Number 3 with Jan's ex. Well I just figured she needed to go away to forget the crime. So I accepted that departure, since the focus was on Jan.

But nr 2 is what bothered me the most and what makes me suspect we definitely will have a season 4, so they can continue that subplot.

I also got the feeling that too much of the episodes were filled with the Rio-plot,so that they all of the sudden ran out of time and had to rush the loose ends and ended up whacking half of the characters 

I wondered about number 2 and number 4 as well. I thought Johnny would come to the rescue of his twins' mother, and adopt yet another one of her children from yet another relationship! And I thought Dag would be arrested setting foot outside of the hospital.
