Was the ending to seasons 3 a tight enough ending for it to be a series finale or was it left wide open?

For a series it wrapped it up pretty well. And it was done on purpose, just in case it should be terminated.

What did you think about the pictuce of an angel in lecture (in episode 3 chapter 8)? Where it is been taken from?
