So overrated

I can see why some might find it charming, but the whole thing is just daft and hokey.

Norwegians are portrayed as these dopey soft people that are all bound up in red tape, just waiting for a good old boy with American Libertarian attitudes to get sh!t done. Apparently you can go around roughing then up, and they just bend to your will straight away. And seriously, how many coincidences were there in the first three episodes!

You can just see so many events playing out predictably. I mean, it's a perfectly watchable 7, if you have nothing else to do, but the scores it gets made me expect something of real class.

I agree with all of your opinions. But I have to say, Americans love it. It's the "gangster mentality", where someone with the experience of an American crime family shot caller can make things happen.
It lay be way too convenient at times but that's just to keep it entertaining.
For the purpose of entertainment I find it hilarious.
For the way it portrays the people of that country, I find it misinformed.
I think the show is more geared toward how a high ranking 'gangster turned informant on witsec" can start his own small empire in a place that isn't usually the setting for American television.
It's more for comedy value than realism.
