Really? That was it?

First 80 minutes = Great build up, Nicely played out character development, Spot on acting with relatable emotions, Nice visuals and a story that left me excited to see how it ended.

Last 3 minutes = Ok...here we go, finally I get to see how this turns out....wait....thats it? There HAS to be more...No? They're really going to end it like that? WTF

So to that in a nutshell is how I felt watching this movie. For me it really grabbed me from the start, but to see it unfold like that was just...rushed? bleak? I'm struggling to find the words since it happened so fast and really wasted what I thought was great potential. It just really left me wanting more to be totally honest. Anyone agree?

Yeah Bitch!, Magnets Ooohh!

I think you're being way to kind on the 80 minute build up, it was more like 80 minutes of cycling between anger, boredom, and drowsiness at the cliched repetitiveness of yet another miserable addition to the mockumentary style found footage horror films that are a dime a dozen these days.

And I could barely stay awake on the couch so I definitely wasn't "wanting more". I was wanting a soft mattress to go to sleep on, thats about it. Other than that I found no need to analyze it as I knew what was going to happen within the first 15 minutes because the Producer/Cameraman/whoever gave it away in the mockumentary. Terrible. 3/10

I would have been horribly disappointed if the baby was born and it was a practical effects demon or even worse a CGI monster. That's what really disappointed me about the ending of Paranormal Activity -- it went for a monster effect at the end as a crowd pleaser, at Steven Spielberg's insistence, when if it had stayed true to its roots there would have been tumultuous noise from downstairs and that would have been that. I'm glad DTBW stayed simple and clean.

The only thing that would have made up for this non eventful movie was a little demon monkey to come flying out gutting everyone in the room. Guess I'm one of the crowd who needed the crowd pleaser. I actually was shocked at the end though to be honest.
