disposable camera

I can't think of an explanation for this ever since I saw this film last october. The three friends reunite, take a trip to the shore, other things are revealed. At one point, they take a picture of all three with a disposable camera. Later, Živa lets go of the camera while they're driving back.
Why does she do that? Why taking a picture, a memory of this trip if you're gonna throw it away?
I thought she might doesn't wanna remember this trip, but I don't think that's it..I don't think she regrets taking this trip nor confessing her secret to the boys.
Was this brought to anyone else's attention?

Otherwise, it's a brilliant film, it can be seen on many levels. It was very inspiring for me. :)

I thought of it too while watching the movie. Later I figured it was probably her way of "leting it go". By that i mean the past, childhood..no more turning back to the past. They all had to focus on the future and the challenges it was bringing. It's a gesture that shows, she was now and ready to be an adult. In some way liberated.
Thats how I see it.
