More fiction than truth (real story)

Now first I'll just say the movie was pretty good and the acting too. I always liked Jodelle's acting. After seeing the movie you're probably feeling sorry for Hayley (real life name Victoria Lindsay) and thinking she was a goodie goodie shy girl. I did some good research and just wanted to share a few things:

Now if you listen good at the 2nd video they're mostly just babbling on about guys and who she slept with or broke up with. Mostly about guys and who she hates and that she's sorry. The movie does not show anything like this and even gives us a hint that Hayley is a shy good girl virgin who's never kissed before (in the movie she had her first kiss and alcohol). In real life she has already done both including sex (I assume). To me it just seems like her "friends" beat up on her over jealousy and stupidness. The video was just a bonus to them thinking it was cool.

My final words are: Good movie... More fiction than real. Lindsay (Hayley) wasn't exactly how you saw her in the movie. And finally, no matter what, she didn't deserve a beating, no one does. Especially over some MySpace comments.

OK. Well, I looked up all of these links and sort of agree.
However, your listing as 1st beating video and 2nd beating video are the same, except for your comment of "not so much". Not so much as what?

I fixed the 2nd link. I meant "Not so much beating" .. the 2nd video had more talking in it.

Yea in real life she wasn't a goody goody, but either way no matter what those girls shouldn't have attacked her like that. But I mean most of those girls who did it have (shocker) their own children now, and Victoria(haley) has been in trouble with the law a couple times.

when i saw the picture of the real victim. My first thought was she had the face of a mean girl/bitch. I am a firm believer in your face showing your personality.

Are you for real? Saying she's not really a shy goody goody and had had sex (you assume). Yeah, I know you say no one deserves it but wow I'm getting some slutshaming vibes from your post. She had sex! She actually wasn't that good (because sex is bad)! How does that change it?

I agree that they portrayed the character completely differently in the film (academically-focussed, up a grade, different from the other girls in terms of family background, hobbies, future etc.) but that's just how stories work.

It's still horrible and there's no evidence that Victoria was at fault in any way - you can't be in a situation like that! The other girls were horrific. Also I didn't watch all the videos but half the accusations about guys are probably lies anyway so I wouldn't put much stock in it. They did that in the movie calling her a slut and stuff.

They were all such a tragic pack of losers lol

I know you probably didn't intend to come off the way I quite frankly interpreted you.
But know this.
You are what's wrong with abuse of any kind. Beating. Rape. Whatever.
The fact that you needed to make a post to explain that she wasn't the good girl we all thought she was. And that she wasn't a virgin. Who cares. And she got caught with marijuana. Who cares. Is a HUGE reason we have this thing called victim blaming.
