Why isn't he given top billing in this show? I mean the show is about him being able to see spirits and either help save them or help them move on, yet they say the show is all about Erica Durance. I even saw some interview they did together & Michael said the show was all hers. Even on here it lists Erica & Julia Taylor Ross in the headlines
shareErica is one of the producers, I think that's what Michael meant by 'her show'. But yes, she also gets top billing, though she and Michael share a lot of headlines and banners. I believe Michael, Erica, and Julia are the only ones to appear in every episode so far.
During the credits Michael may not get top billing but the 'with' and 'and' is usually reserved for the most senior and noteworthy actors. In this case it is him and Wendy Crewson.

Is Erica a big deal in Canada? I'm only asking because she is also a producer on the show. In the US i thought that status was reserved for bigger name actors who are in a lead role in a tv show.

Smallville was a pretty big hit in both the U.S. and Canada. I'm not sure about the whole story, but I think she was looking to produce a show as well as act, and she loved the Saving Hope script.

I do not care a about the Opening credits....I knew after watching the pilot though to Season 4 Episode 18 that Michael Shanks is the Star of Saving Hope. Without him there will no show! They got rid of Daniel Gillies and the show went on. But, if you got rid of Michael Shanks, you would be getting rid of the ghosts/supernatural and making Saving Hope into the common medical show ....Michael/Charlie is a excellent actor..

shareWith Erica (Alex) & Michael (Charlie) they are the constant Characters on the show. They are on Every Show.....So, I think Saving Hope put Erica up front because she is a constant Character, followed by Characters that change (Julie & Wendy sometimes in the show & sometimes out of the show), followed by a constant Character. Michael Shanks at the end......Ladies, comes first....

shareNo, I know that's how they do it on the show, I was talking about why he wasn't listed with Erica here on Imdb.
For example, (Imdb) on Grey's Anatomy Ellen & Justin are listed as headliners, whereas before Derek died, Patrick D. he was listed alongside Ellen. Sandra Oh was listed before that too, even though there are still 4 original characters still on, Justin is listed now with Ellen.
But on SH, Michael hasn't been listed on Imdb that way
