The lackluster Michael Buffer intro was forshadowing....

Caught this on Netflix, I was excited but it was a let-down. Man, Russell Peters is my favorite, but this was hard to watch. The telling sign was Michael Buffer's intro, it seemed like he didn't know what to say or he wrote it on the spot. "The biggest stand up comedian in the world is here for you tonight. And now, for the thousands in attendance, and the millions watching around the world..." It was so lame, I thought he'd be more creative with boxing analogies. Give us Russell's height and weight, how many shows have he TKO'ed, etc. Then for the first 30 minutes, the quality of Peters material was right on par with Buffer's lackadaisical intro. Lots of silent pauses then, "Dude, what's your name?" Then he would just make fun of people.. Silent pause, some breathing and sighing. He didn't do much Asian material because it just wouldn't play well in England, and it was evident because he did spend about 10 minutes on Cantonese accent and it wasn't a riot like it normally is. Some of the material was old, and the only thing I can think of that I liked was the Bomb Shelter bit.

Russell, I know you're lurking! Be a man! Do the right ting... and step up your game!
