What happened to Matze?

He left the conversation while Matze was arguing with Ralf to go have a smoke. Then he and Julika had that altercation and he left the theatre and went to the bar. This wasn't the first time he left Matze by himself, remember the scene on the film set where his phone rang and he ended up leaving? As far as what happened to his character, who knows? Many of the characters Niko had interactions with went on their own way. It seems like he was a very lonesome character, his girlfriend or x-girlfriend Elle nearly begs him to stay in the beginning - strangely enough she offers him coffee and he denies it, the neighbor was desperate to talk to somebody, Julika aggressively wants to have sex with him, and at last the German man inside the bar forces Niko to listen to him before he ends up dying in front of him. I'm assuming the relationship with his father might be the reason he is the way he is. My question would be what does he do now? Go back to his girlfriend Elle? At least she has coffee.. lol!
